Who actually coordinates a survey, and what it costs them
A survey is six people who have never met needing the same handful of facts: the buyer, the seller, both brokers, the surveyor and a yard with a lift. Getting them to one place at one time is a morning of phone calls. Then the surveyor moves a day, and it is the same morning again, except this time the yard does not get told and the boat shows up to a full lift.
One record holds the boat, the parties, the vendors and the times. One button tells everyone, and tells them again when a date moves, from the same set of facts rather than from whatever each person wrote down the first time.
In most firms this is not really a broker's job at all. The person chasing confirmations is the listing coordinator or the office admin, and they carry several surveys at once. This is built for them as much as for the broker whose name is on the deal, and both are looking at the same record.
