Who built this, how it works, and how to get a closer look.
Yacht Broker Support is built by Clark Haley, a working yacht broker. He grew up selling boats. He then spent thirty-five years running a national software consulting firm as its chief executive, and took ten years out of the business to go cruising on his own boat. He is back selling boats now, and Yacht Broker Support is the software he wanted on the job and could not buy.
That history is the reason the tools look the way they do. Thirty-five years of building software for other people is why the system is put together properly. Standing at a stern trying to read a hull number off a plate is why it is built for what a broker will actually use on a Tuesday. Nothing here exists to fill out a feature list.
When a tool did not exist, it got built. That is still how the suite grows, and the firms using it have a direct line to the person building it.
Yacht Broker Support is white-label and multi-tenant, which is a technical way of saying something simple: your firm's people, listings and vendor knowledge are kept apart from everyone else's. How far apart is your choice, and it is the first thing worth deciding.
A private system. Your firm gets its own instance on its own web address, carrying your branding. Nothing leaves it. You decide who is in it and what they can do. This is what most established firms want, and it is what you would expect from software you are paying for on a per-seat basis.
A co-operative. Smaller firms rarely need a system of their own so much as they need a bench. In a co-operative, a handful of non-competing firms share one system: the vendor list gets deep enough to be worth having, and the off-market board has enough boats on it to be worth checking. Your own client and listing data stays yours - what gets shared is what you choose to share, with firms you already trust. It costs less to join than to run a system alone, and it is often the better answer under ten brokers.
You are not locked into either one. A firm that starts in a co-operative and outgrows it moves to its own private system with its data intact.
Coming aboard is meant to be light. No heavy installation, no server room, no months of onboarding.
